Community Guidelines

Himish is a community marketplace. The rules below exist so the space stays useful, respectful, and safe for everyone in it. Posting on Himish means you agree to follow them.

What's allowed

  • Real listings: items, services, jobs, events, gemachs, and businesses with accurate descriptions and your own photos.
  • Honest business pages with accurate hours, location, and contact information.
  • Polite, on-topic conversations with other users.
  • Asking questions, sharing recommendations, and offering help.

What's not allowed

  • Hate or harassment. No content that attacks, demeans, or incites against people based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics. No targeted harassment or doxxing.
  • Adult or graphic content. No sexually explicit or gratuitously violent material. Listings and photos must be appropriate for a community audience that includes minors and people of varied religious observance.
  • Illegal goods and services. No firearms, ammunition, regulated drugs, stolen property, counterfeits, items that violate intellectual property, services that violate the law, or anything we're required to keep off the platform.
  • Scams and fraud. No misleading listings, fake reviews, fake businesses, fake claim attempts, advance-fee scams, or attempts to move conversations off-platform to defraud someone.
  • Spam. No duplicate posting, mass-posting from multiple accounts, irrelevant cross-posting, or unsolicited bulk messaging.
  • Impersonation. Don't pretend to be someone else or claim a business you don't represent. Real claim verification goes through the in-app process.
  • Privacy violations. Don't post other people's phone numbers, addresses, or private information without their consent.
  • Platform abuse. Don't scrape, automate, mass-create accounts, or interfere with the service.

Reporting

Every listing, business page, and chat message has a Report button. Use it for anything that breaks these rules. Reports are reviewed by Himish staff. You can also email safety@himish.com with details (a link to the content and what's wrong).

Moderation actions

Depending on severity, we may:

  • edit AI-suggested tags or remove a single piece of content;
  • send you a warning;
  • limit features (e.g., temporarily prevent posting);
  • suspend or close the account.

Severe or repeated violations — especially those involving safety, fraud, or illegal content — can lead to immediate removal without prior warning.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was wrong, reply to the moderation email you received, or write to appeals@himish.com with the listing or account ID and a short explanation. A different staff member than the one who took the action will review the appeal. We'll respond within a reasonable time (typically within seven days).

Common-sense safety

Himish does not verify users beyond email and (where applicable) phone or business-claim checks. Meet in public places, inspect items before paying, and trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, walk away and report it.

These guidelines may change as the community grows and new patterns of abuse emerge. We'll announce material changes in-app.
